Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains the basic ways Church Membership Directory, LLC collects, uses, and protects information when churches use this service.

Effective date: April 1, 2024

1

Who We Are

Church Membership Directory, LLC provides software used by churches to import member information, manage that information, and generate printable church directories and related materials.

2

Information We Receive

We receive information that users provide directly, such as account details, church details, billing details, support requests, and directory settings.

We may also receive member and household information from a connected data source chosen by the customer, such as Planning Center or another supported church management platform, as well as files uploaded by the customer for import.

3

How We Use Information

  • To operate the service and generate directories or related outputs requested by the customer.
  • To import, organize, display, export, and maintain church membership information.
  • To process subscriptions and related billing activity.
  • To provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service.
  • To communicate about account, billing, or service-related matters.
4

How We Share Information

We do not sell church or member data. We may share information only as needed to operate the service, such as with payment processors, hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics or monitoring providers, or when required by law.

5

Connected Data Sources

If a church connects a third-party platform or uploads a file for import, the church is responsible for making sure it has the right to provide that information and to use this service for that purpose. We import and process information based on what the customer authorizes and supplies.

6

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect information. No system can promise absolute security, and use of the service is at the customer's own risk.

7

Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain appropriate business records. Churches may request deletion of their account or data by contacting us, subject to any legal or operational retention requirements.

8

Your Choices

A customer may update imported data, disconnect supported integrations, or request account cancellation at any time. A customer is responsible for backing up or exporting any information it wants to retain before cancellation or deletion.

9

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after an updated version is posted means the customer accepts the revised policy.
